Kenya University and College Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened the Portal, inviting all the 2022 KCSE students to apply.
Speaking during the launch of KUCCPS application, Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu asked all students to apply for the courses they desire and qualify so as to complete the transition from secondary education to higher institution.
“I urge all students to apply for the courses that they desire and qualify for, so that we complete the transition from secondary education to higher education. We do not want to leave any student behind,” said Education CS Ezekiel Machogu
However, KUCCPS has advised the candidates to login to KUCCPS Portal online and register for the preferred courses.How To Login to KUCCPS Portal Online.
To login in a student has to provide the following details;
KCSE Index Number.
A student is advised to use Birth Certificate Number or KCPE Index Number as used in KCSE examination Registration and the password initial.

Available Learning Institutions and Programmes in KUCCPS and HELB Loan.
39 public institutions- Eligible for government scholarship and HELB loan.
30 private Private universities- Eligible for HELB loan only.189 Public Colleges- Ministry of Education TVETs Eligible for Government Scholarship and HELB Loan.
27 Public Colleges in other ministries and 7 University TVET.
However, CS Machogu directed KUCCPS to partner with Huduma Center to ensure that students apply from all parts of the country, indicating that KUCCPS officers will be sent out for personalised support students.
“I have directed KUCCPS to partner with Huduma centre’s to ensure students apply from all parts of the country. KUCCPS officers will be sent out for personalised support to students, parents and members of the public,” CS Machogu added
According to Machogu, KUCCPS will place all qualified candidates to various programmea based on merit and choice to university, college, polytechnics and other Technical and vocational education institutions.
