Education cabinet secretary Ezekiel Machogu has on Wednesday 21, 2022 released the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education, KCPE.

 

 

 

Speaking at Mtihani house, Nairobi, CS Ezekiel Machogu said that 1.2 million students sat for 2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education, KCPE that commenced on November 18 with the best candidate scoring 431 marks.

 

 

 

Machogu released the KCPE Examination after presenting to President William Ruto at state house, Nairobi.

 

 

 

In Particular, CS Machogu praised President William Ruto for his commitment for spearheading the administration of the national examination.

 

 

Two candidates scored 431 Marks, emerges as the best performers in 2022 KCPE Examination.

 

Fwaro Makokha from Bungoma’s Christ the King Primary School and Lewis Otieno from St Peters Boys Primary School in Kakamega emerged as the top best students with 431 marks.

 

 

9,443 students scored 400 marks and above where those whose scored  300 to 399 stands at 307, 756. Between 200 to 299 were 699, 593 students.

 

 

 

Machogu said that the national examination was done effectively and smoothly without examination malpractice, thanking teachers for their dedication to sharpen students.

English and Kiswahili emerges as the best leading subjects in this Year’s KCPE Examination compared to last year.

 

 

 

How To Check KCPE Results via SMS and Online

 

Parents and students are advised to check on  KCPE Results via SMS using their mobile phone by sending candidate’s index number, followed by initials KCPE (in capital letter) to 20076

 

Ensure that there’s no space between the candidate’s index number and initials KCPE. The service is accessible through mobile phones and charges Kshs 25 per SMS

 

 

However, due to millions of people accessing the server to get KCPE results, the results may delay

 

 

 

How To Check KCPE Results Online

 

On the other hand, students can check their results at Online portal and get their results at their fingerprint.

 

To get the results online, access KNEC portal and proceed to Tab KNEC tap, then select the year the candidate sat for examination.

 

 

Enter Candidate’s index number and submit to get the results immediately.  The candidate’s results can be printed.

 

Ensure your connected to internet to access the results online.
