Teachers Service Commission, TSC has issued Internship Agreement Form for Newly Recruited Teachers.
Teachers Service Commission recruited 25,550 intern teachers for Primary and Junior Secondary. Primary was given a slot of 4000 Intern Teachers while Junior Secondary got 21,550 intern teachers.
The commission has issued Internship Agreement Form to be fully filled by Internship Teachers before getting to work.
Teachers Service Commission said that it’s working on teacher’s posting process to ensure that each teacher has been successfully posted in their respective working station.
However, as per the payment structure of Teachers Service Commission, Primary Intern Teachers will get a monthly salary of Ksh 15,000 while those of Junior Secondary will pocket every month Ksh 20,000.
This is an increment from the initial pay of Kshs 10,000 for Intern Primary Teacher and Ksh 15,000 for Intern Secondary Teacher.
In the recent recruitment of new Teachers, the Intern Primary and Secondary Teachers who served in the Previous years got a direct ticket to Permanent and Pensionable terms as directed by Teachers Service Commission.
The commission is set to recruit more teachers on Permanent and Internship terms in subsequent years to bridge the gap of shortage of Teachers in Junior Secondary School and as well in primary and Senior Secondary.
