Release of 2023 KCSE Results Early Next Week
The education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu issued the exact date of releasing 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) after verification process completed.
Speaking, Education CS Ezekiel Machogu said that all the 903,260 candidates who sat for 2023 KCSE examination will get their results as the government aim to initiate major reforms in the education sector.
Machogu is set to release 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) early next week, after presenting the results to President William Ruto.
The students will be subjected to a different grading system under the new system where the two compulsory subjects will be considered that is Mathematics and one of the two languages (English or Kiswahili), a change from the previous grading system where seven subjects were considered.
The change in the grading system that was initiated in August aim at increasing the capacity of learners joining higher education institution.
CS Machogu affirmed to release the 2023 KCSE Results after verification process is over to avoid the occurrence of possible errors, similar to the one emerged in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE). Kenya National Examination Council (Knec) is working on compiling of the KCSE results and correct any possible error before the release.
The form ones who were successful selected to diverse secondary schools will report in January 15, 2024 according to the 2023/2024 academic calendar issued by the ministry of education.
Other learners will reopen school on 8th of January 2024 as CS Machogu warned school heads against sending learners back home for school fees. The CS reiterated that parents should be given time to rain school fees follow the dilapidated economy.
