The government has issued major directives on education reforms following a press release in a statement on the interim report of the presidential working party on education.
However, teachers who will be handing grade 7 Leaners have received good news over Competence based Curriculum.
According to direcrive by the government on education reforms, Teachers who will be handling grade 7 will be prioritized in handling Competence Based Curriculum, CBC.
In a statement, the government directed The Ministry of education, Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development and the Teachers Service Commission to work on modalities of fast-tracking and retooling teachers to ensure that the country has sufficient members who are compliant with CBC, prioritizing teachers who will be handling grade 7
“The ministry of Education, Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development and and The Teachers Service Commission will work on modalities of fast-tracking and retooling teachers to ensure the country has sufficient members who are compliant with CBC. Priority will be given to Teachers who will be handling Grade 7 Leaners,” a directive by the government on education reform states in a statement
