Teachers Service Commission has cleared the air on the period it will take to Post Newly Recruited Junior Secondary Teachers in diverse work stations.
Teachers Service Commission, TSC recruited 31,550 Junior Secondary Teachers where 9,000 were on permanent and pensionable terms while 21,550 on Internship.
Successful Junior Secondary hired teachers are set to be posted in their different working stations as per the employment guidelines of Teachers Service Commission.
Speaking while supervising the distribution of books to Migosi Junior Secondary School, Director of Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) Charles Ong’ondo said that posting of newly recruited Junior Secondary Teachers will be complete within a week.
Teachers Service Commission is working on posting process of newly recruited Junior Secondary Teachers as the process will take a maximum of one week.
However, despite of recruitment of Junior Secondary Teachers, still shortage of Teachers is experienced as the ministry is set to place more teachers in Junior Secondary.
In meantime, KICD Director Charles Ong’ondo has asked Junior Secondary School heads to source Teachers from secondary sector through County directors of Ministry of Education to teach Special subjects.
Ong’ondo said that due to shortage of teachers in Junior Secondary, some subjects may lack Teachers thus the need to obtain teachers from Neighboring Senior Secondary School.
