As parents prepare to take their learners to join universities, education cabinet secretary Ezekiel Machogu has send a major relief to parents on payment of school fees.
Students who sat for 2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) are expected to join different universities after the successful placement exercise by Kenya Universities and colleges central placement service (kuccps).
Speaking during the funeral Service of the late Nyamaiya Ward MCA Hon Elijah Osiemo at Getaari Secondary School, West Mugirango Constituency in Nyamira county, Education CS Ezekiel Machogu said that parents shouldn’t be worried over university fees as they set to prepare the students to join universities.
According to Machogu, the government has scholarship for students joining universities and will also be granted with HELB laon.
“If you have a student who has qualified to join university you will not have to pay any money because the government will give out free scholarship and students’s loan is available. Don’t be worried how your child will get into the university because of university fees,” Education CS Ezekiel Machogu remarked
Machogu added that Kenya Kwanza government is committed in changing the phase of education in the country, affirming that the government has issued capitation to the ministry of education.
