Teachers Service Commission TSC has advertised 13, 713 fresh promotion vacancies for primary and Post-primary.
This comes following the cancellation of the previous advertisement by Teachers Service Commission last week following the complaints from teachers.
The educators disputed the last advertisement by TSC over discriminatory, arguing that the commission did not hire teachers who had been in the job for a long time.
Teachers Service Commission was compelled to cancel last week’s promotion advertisement, calling for fresh application.
However, TSC has announced fresh 13, 713 promotion vacancies. 3,210 slots are reserved for Secondary Schools while 10, 507 secured for primary school.
Primary School will receive a Lion’s share in the new promotion following the high slot.
However, The General Secretary of Kenya Union of Post-primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) Akello Misori, all teachers who have served in the capacity of Senior Principal, Deputy president and Principals will automatically promoted.
Misori added that the automatic promotion will benefit all Teachers in job group C2 to C3 after three years of service.
“We demand that all teachers in Job Groups C2 to C3 be promoted automatically after three years of service. We demand that no cadre be left in promotion advertisements for as long as it is currently the case,” Misori said.
