TSC Guidelines to Teachers Who Will Be Handling Junior Secondary Leaners- TSC Boss Nancy Macharia


Teachers Service Commission, TSC Chief Executive Officer Nancy Macharia has said that the commission is developing guidelines to teachers Handling Junior Secondary Leaners that will be available by January 2023.

 

Nancy Macharia said that 35,550 teachers set to be employed in the ongoing recruitment exercise will be send to teach junior Secondary School to ease pressure on the teaching of pioneer CBC class.

 

 

Speaking on Wednesday 21, December 2022 during the release of 2022 KCPE Examination at Mtihani house, KNEC boss Nancy Macharia encouraged teachers to apply for mass recruitment of teachers before the closing deadline on 23, December 2022.

 

 

 

Macharia indicated that new recruited 9000 permanent and pensionable teachers with 21,550 Intern teachers will be posted to handle pioneer class of CBC before school reopen.

 

 

 

Macharia said that the commission is moved to develop guidelines on staff that will Handle Leaners who will be joining grade 7 on newly 30,550 recruited teachers.

 

 

“TSC has moved to develop guidelines on staff to handle learners who will be joining the Grade Seven. Part of the 30,550 we shall be employing, we shall also be developing guidelines on those that we shall be deploying to help in Grade Seven,” TSC Boss Nancy Macharia said

 

 

Nancy Macharia added that the commission shall embark on the retooling of teachers to cover all secondary schools and those who will be joining CBC class.

 

 

Macharia indicated that already the commission has trained 60,000 teachers in secondary school on competency-based Curriculum

 

 

“We shall embark on the retooling of teachers to cover all secondary schools and those who will be joining the CBC class implementation. We have already trained 60,000 teachers in secondary schools,” Macharia said.
