TSC Issue a List of Counties That Have Recruited More Junior Secondary Teachers Countywide in 2023


 

Teachers Service Commission announced 31,550 junior Secondary teaching vacancies In a bid of attending Grade 7 Leaners.

 

 

In the recruitment by Teachers Service Commission, 9000 teachers were hired in permanent and Pensionable terms where 21,550 hired on internship program.

 

However, despite of deployment of Junior Secondary School Teachers, still the ministry of Education faces shortage of Teachers to smoothen Competency Based Curriculum, CBC.

 

 

Teachers Service Commission experienced a delay in posting the newly recruited Junior Secondary Teachers as Leaners were stranded in classroom unattended.

 

However, the commission has posted Junior Secondary Teachers to respective schools to attending grade 7 Leaners who had reported on Monday last week.

 

 

In the deployment of Junior Secondary Teachers across the country, some counties benefited a lot as the recruitment was based in respectful counties then narrowed down to specific sub-counties.

 

Among the counties that admitted high number of Junior Secondary Teachers include;

 

Kitui- 1475 Junior Secondary Teachers.

 

Kakamega- 1449 Junior Secondary Teachers.

 

Nakuru- 1223 Junior Secondary Teachers.

 

Bungoma – 1208 Junior Secondary Teachers.

 

Meru- 1120 Junior Secondary Teachers.

 

Machakos- 1050 Junior Secondary Teachers.

 

However, despite of deployment of Junior Secondary School, still the ministry of education faces a major shortage of teachers to boost competency based Curriculum, CBC.
