Teachers Service Commission has advertised the promotion for Primary School Senior Teacher in regular primary school and Special Needs Education Primary School.
TSC has called upon the qualified interested candidates to submit their application online through TSC online portal latest 8th September 2023.
Below are the requirements for senior Teacher in regular primary school and Special Needs Education Primary School.
TSC Promotion Requirements for Primary School Senior Teacher I (T-Scale 8)
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
For appointment to this grade, a teacher must:
i. Have served as Senior Teacher II T- Scale 7 for a minimum period of three (3) years.
ii. Have satisfactory rating in the performance appraisal process.
iii. have demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor and provide professional support to other teachers.
iv. Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
v. Meet any other requirement the Commission may deem necessary.
NB: – Candidates in Asal and Hard to staff counties who have served in the current grade for at least 2 years are eligible.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT.
For appointment to this grade, a teacher must:
i. Have served as Primary Teacher I T-Scale 6 for a minimum period of three (3) years.

iii. Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
iv. Meet any other requirement the Commission may deem necessary.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
For appointment to this grade, a teacher must:
i. Have served as Senior Teacher II T- Scale 7 for a minimum period of three (3) years.
ii. Have at least a Diploma in Special Needs Education (in the area of specialty indicated).
iii. have demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor and provide professional support to other teachers.
iv. Have satisfactory rating in the performance appraisal process.
v. Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
vi. Meet any other requirement the Commission may deem necessary.
