Following the pulldown of Delocalization of Teachers, Most teachers are now seeking to return back to their home counties.
The pulldown was initiated by Parliament, Directing the Ministry of Education to end delocalization of teachers and transfer the delocalized teachers to their preferred home counties.
According to Parliament legislative act, a Teacher can only be transferred within the zone of work in the home county.
Teachers Service Commission is ongoing with the process of transferring Delocalized teachers who were affected by the Policy.
Some counties have issued the list of Transferred Teachers to their preferred home counties as they are required to pick the transfer letters from sub-county level.
However, Teachers Service Commission has Released another list of Transferred Teachers in Vihiga County, available in the county and sub-county TSC offices.
In the circular list of Transferred Teachers seen by Chipuko.com, Teachers Service Commission transferred 155 teachers in Vihiga County to their preferred home counties.
This comes as Teachers expressed the concern on delay of Releasing the list of approved Transferred Teachers.
Teachers Service Commission had directed the delocalized teachers to fill the transfer request form and present it to the Commission.
However, some Delocalized teachers in other countries are blaming Education officials for Allegedly holding their transfer letters despite of requesting the transfer.
Teachers in Trans Nzoia had protested at Teachers Service Commission’s offices in Trans Nzoia, seeking for the release of list of Transferred Teachers that was ultimately out.
