In a bid to foster Competency Based Curriculum (CBC), The ministry of education announced Junior Secondary Teaching Vacancies, calling for qualified interested individuals to apply.
Teachers Service Commission, TSC deployed 31,550 teachers to teach junior Secondary on permanent and pensionable and Internship terms.
However, despite of deployment of Junior Secondary Teachers, Teachers Service Commission expressed the concern of Shortage of Teachers in Junior Secondary.
TSC has deployed Primary teachers with the qualifications to teach Secondary option to tutor garde 7 Leaners.
Primary Teachers who have advanced in diploma or Degree in education have the qualification to teach junior Secondary as per the directive of Teachers Service Commission.
TSC said that at the moment it doesn’t have adequate resources to deploy more teachers, thus directed P1 Teachers with Diploma or degree in education to apply for Junior Secondary.
TSC asked P1 Teachers to send their documents for verification to Teachers Service Commission via TSC online portal.
After TSC has winded up the process of verification of documents, qualified P1 Teachers will be served with deployment letter to Teach Junior Secondary School.
According to the details, no interview will be done for the Deployed P1 Teachers as they will directly attend Grade 7 Leaners .
