What Caused Fired Outbreak at Kabianga University Hostel Finally Established


 

Property of unknown value have been destroyed following the break out of fire at University of Kabianga in Belgut, Kericho county.

 

 

According to the lecture who spoke to Chipuko Digital in an anonymity condition, fire broke out emerged after an inferno was caused by an electric fault.

 

 

According to the lecture, the inferno burnt down one of the hostel, razing down students’ property.

 

The lecture said that fire began on the fourth floor of Hostel Six, destroying students’ property.

 

 

The incident happened on the same day of university reopening after a temporary closure of the institution following the students’ rampage over delayed HELB loan disbursement and the planned fee hike by the government.

 

 

Fire brigade from County government of Kericho and James Finlay’s Tea Company rushed at the scene to put down the inferno.

 

No casualties have been reported.
