346 Deputy Principal Vacancies Advertised by TSC

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced 346 vacancies for Deputy Principal II (T-Scale 12) positions in the 2025/2026 promotion cycle. These promotions are intended to strengthen secondary school leadership and ease administrative pressure on principals.

Eligibility requires applicants to have served as Deputy Principal III or Senior Master II (T-Scale 11) for at least three years. Candidates must also show a strong track record in performance appraisals and demonstrate the ability to provide professional support and mentorship to colleagues.

Deputy Principals play a key role in supporting the principal in school management, overseeing discipline, supervising teachers, and ensuring academic standards are met. With the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) now being implemented in senior schools, these roles are more important than ever in maintaining smooth operations and quality education delivery.

Applications must be made strictly through the TSC online portal before 25th August 2025 at midnight. Manual applications will not be accepted. Shortlisted candidates will undergo interviews and must present valid Chapter Six compliance documents before appointment.

By creating nearly 350 new deputy principal positions, TSC is addressing the long-standing challenge of leadership gaps in schools, particularly in institutions where student populations are rapidly increasing.

This move is also expected to motivate teachers who have served faithfully in mid-level administrative roles to pursue higher responsibilities. Ultimately, strengthening the deputy principal cadre will ensure more effective leadership in secondary schools across the country.
