On Tuesday, a tragic road accident occurred along the Gitaru-Kikuyu Road in Kiambu County, resulting in the deaths of two people and leaving ten others critically injured.
The incident involved a bus belonging to Archbishop Ezekiel’s group of schools, which reportedly lost control and collided with an oncoming trailer.
Witnesses reported that the bus, filled with passengers, veered off the highway after the collision and overturned in a nearby thicket.
Emergency services responded to the scene, and the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.

Rescue teams were promptly dispatched to the scene, and with the assistance of members of the public, those trapped inside the wreckage were successfully retrieved.
Reports indicate that the bus was ferrying members of the public who had hired it for an event when the accident occurred while attempting to join Waiyaki Way.
Videos obtained by Chipuko.com show the bus overturned, with its windows shattered and seats scattered across the area. The trailer involved in the collision was also severely damaged at the front, highlighting the severity of the accident.
Police officers arrived at the accident scene hours later, launching investigations before towing the bus to a nearby police station. This incident follows a tragic road crash near the Salgaa blackspot on the Nakuru-Nairobi highway, where 13 people died just three days earlier.

In that accident, a 60-seat passenger bus collided with an oncoming saloon car and overturned. The Kenya Red Cross Society confirmed that about 36 people were critically injured in the early morning accident on Tuesday, August 20, at around 4 am.
“Thirty-six injured individuals have been taken to Molo and Coptic Hospitals following a road traffic incident involving a PSV bus and multiple vehicles at Migaa in Molo, Nakuru County,” the Kenya Red Cross disclosed.
