The TSC has announced 6,000 deployment slots in this phase to help bridge the significant teacher shortage in JSS. Successful applicants will benefit from improved remuneration, enhanced career opportunities, and the chance to contribute to shaping the future of education under the CBC framework.
The deployment initiative comes as TSC works to address a 72,422-teacher deficit in JSS. Currently, only 51.5% of required teachers are employed in junior schools. To tackle this, the government has allocated Sh4.8 billion to hire 20,000 additional JSS teachers on internship terms this year.
This deployment is a step forward in ensuring that learners in JSS receive quality education. Interested teachers are urged to apply promptly to secure their chance to advance their careers while supporting Kenyaโs evolving education system.
