KNUT Calls off Planned Teachers’ Strike, Directs Teachers To Report to Work as Scheduled

The Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) has called off the planned teachers’ strike and has directed teachers to report to work for the third term as scheduled.

This decision comes after KNUT Secretary General Collins Oyuu announced that the union had withdrawn the strike notice, which was set to take effect at midnight.

According to Oyuu, the remaining concerns raised by teachers are being addressed through administrative channels.

This resolution aims to ensure a smooth start to the school term, preventing any disruptions to the learning process in public schools across the country.
