The 2025 KPSEA results will be released in December, Education CS Julius Ogamba has announced. Learn the release date, how to check results online, and what parents and learners should expect.

The Ministry of Education has confirmed that the 2025 Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) results will be officially released in December 2025. As Education Report Reports Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba made the announcement today, saying the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) is finalizing marking and verification ahead of the national release.

The KPSEA assessment is a crucial milestone for Grade 6 learners, determining their transition to junior secondary school under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC). This year’s assessment saw over 1.3 million learners sit for the national exams across the country.

How to Check KPSEA 2025 Results

Parents and candidates can access their KPSEA results through several official platforms once they are released:

  1. KNEC Portal: Visit www.knec.ac.ke and log in using the learner’s assessment number.
  2. SMS Method: Send the candidate’s index number to the KNEC SMS code (to be announced before release).
  3. School Portal: Schools can download the results from the KNEC school account.

CS Ogamba assured parents that results will be accessible instantly upon official release, adding that all learners will transition smoothly to Junior Secondary School.

New Changes in 2025 KPSEA

The 2025 KPSEA included enhanced digital assessments, improved marking systems, and competency-based evaluation rather than pure memorization. The government emphasized creativity, problem-solving, and communication as key learning outcomes.

Parents Urged to Prepare for Transition

Education CS Ogamba reminded parents that all Grade 6 learners will automatically proceed to Grade 7 in the same or nearby schools, depending on facilities available. He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to equitable access to education across all counties.

“No child will be left behind. We are ensuring all learners proceed to junior secondary regardless of background,” said Ogamba.

As December approaches, anticipation for the KPSEA 2025 results grows. Parents and teachers are encouraged to monitor official KNEC channels for updates. The release marks another milestone in Kenya’s education reform journey, steering the nation toward full CBC implementation.
