Call for Unemployed TSC-Registered Teachers to Submit Their Details for Database Compilation
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has initiated an important exercise aimed at compiling a comprehensive database of all qualified and duly registered teachers who are currently unemployed.
This effort is part of the Commission’s wider strategy to understand the current employment status of teachers and to gather crucial data that will inform policy development and decision-making processes in the education sector.
In light of this, all registered teachers who have not yet secured employment with the TSC are requested to voluntarily submit their details for inclusion in this database. This initiative is expected to assist the TSC in identifying the gaps in teacher deployment across the country, thereby enabling better planning for future recruitment exercises.
Teachers are required to submit the following information:
- Full Name
- TSC Number
- Date of Birth
- Year of Graduation
- Home County
- Sub-County of Residence
- Category of Qualification – whether Degree, Diploma, or P1 Certificate
The above details will help the Commission to categorize unemployed teachers based on their qualifications, regional distribution, and graduation timelines. This information is especially important in highlighting areas with the highest concentrations of jobless teachers, which may require urgent interventions. It will also help in forecasting future staffing needs across various levels of education.
It is important to note that this exercise is purely for data collection and does not guarantee immediate employment. However, the data collected will play a crucial role in advocating for increased budgetary allocation for teacher recruitment and in streamlining future hiring processes.
All unemployed, registered teachers residing within or around Hamisi Sub-County are requested to deliver their details physically to the Hamisi TSC office. The deadline for submission is on or before the 27th of this month. Late submissions may not be considered in this initial phase of data compilation.
This is a vital opportunity for all qualified but unemployed teachers to be counted and included in national education planning. The TSC urges all affected individuals to take this call seriously and ensure accurate and timely submission of their details.
For further inquiries, teachers are encouraged to visit the Hamisi TSC office or reach out to the relevant education officers in their area.
