TSC Selection Panel Checklist for Recruitment of Junior Secondary School Teachers on PnP Terms 


The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) requires the Secretary of the Selection Panel to submit a comprehensive set of documents to the TSC Sub-County Director for review and processing.

The checklist ensures transparency, compliance, and thorough evaluation of the recruitment process. Below is a detailed outline of the required items:

Minutes of the Selection Panel.     Submit minutes from the selection panel meetings. These must be duly signed and should clearly indicate the number of applicants shortlisted for interviews.   The minutes should include the selection criteria used and reference the system-generated merit list, ensuring fairness and adherence to guidelines.

Completed Selection Score Guide Provide the completed score guide, signed by the panel members. This document should reflect the evaluation of candidates based on the outlined selection criteria.

Certified Copies of Applicant Documents.                                      National Identity Card: Include both sides of the ID for verification.       NCPWD Card: This applies to applicants with disabilities and ensures equitable consideration during the selection process.                                             Passport-Size Photographs: Two recent color photographs must be submitted to meet identification requirements. Certificates: Certified copies of academic and professional certificates, including KCPE, KCSE, ‘A’ Level, Diploma, and Degree qualifications, should be included.

KNEC Letter of Certification of Results: Where applicable, this letter serves as an official verification of academic results. Official Academic Transcripts: These provide a detailed record of academic performance.                                Certificate of Registration as a Teacher: Proof of registration with TSC is mandatory for eligibility.

Financial and Administrative Documents.                                              KRA PIN Certificate: Required for tax compliance.                                              Bank Plate/Card: Provide a copy of the front face for payroll setup.                    Pay Point Particulars Form: This form must be accurately completed.

Additional Supporting Documents Primary and Secondary School Leaving Certificates: These demonstrate the applicant’s educational history.     Medical Examination Report (Form GP 69): Include the original report to confirm the candidate’s fitness for the role. Acknowledgment of Submission: Obtain a receipt confirming the submission of all documents.

This checklist is a vital tool for ensuring a structured, transparent recruitment process. Panel members must ensure all submissions are accurate, complete, and properly certified to streamline the TSC’s review and approval procedures. Following this checklist enhances accountability and ensures compliance with TSC regulations.
