TSC Lists Documents Required for Document Verification Process

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has officially commenced the verification process for applicants who applied for the recently advertised replacement vacancies in primary, junior secondary, and high school teaching positions.

This crucial step will be conducted across various sub-counties in Kenya from 26th to 30th May 2025, and all shortlisted candidates are required to present themselves with both original documents and copies for verification.

TSC has emphasized the importance of adhering strictly to the scheduled dates, as this process is a key determinant in the final recruitment of successful candidates.

All applicants must appear in person at the respective Sub-County TSC offices where they submitted their applications.

Below is the comprehensive list of required documents that each applicant must present:

National Identity Card (ID) – Original and copy.

Academic Certificates – KCPE, KCSE, and PTE certificates.

School Leaving Certificates – From both primary and secondary schools.

TSC Registration Certificate – Proof of teacher registration.

Affidavit of Names – For applicants whose documents bear different names.

Two Coloured Passport Size Photos – Recent and clear.

Bank Plate and Bank Form – For salary processing.

KRA PIN Certificate – From the Kenya Revenue Authority.

NSSF Card – For social security details.

Social Health Authority (SHA) Certificate – As per new health coverage policy.

GP69 Form – Medical fitness form from a government hospital.

Next of Kin Details – Clearly filled and signed form.

Application and Commitment Letter – Original signed copies.

Birth Certificate – Original and copy.

The TSC has encouraged all shortlisted candidates to organize their documents neatly in a file and ensure all copies are clear and legible. Failure to present any of the required documents may lead to disqualification. Additionally, candidates should be punctual and observe professional conduct during the exercise.

This document verification marks the final stage before successful candidates are posted to various schools across the country. TSC’s transparency and commitment to fair recruitment remain a cornerstone of Kenya’s education workforce development.

Applicants are advised to regularly check their SMS notifications, official TSC website, and local sub-county education offices for updates, venues, and times for the exercise. This process is not only an opportunity for employment but also a step towards reinforcing the quality of education in Kenya.
