TSC Seeks 4,683 Senior Teachers in 2025 Promotion Cycle

In a historic recruitment drive, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced 4,683 vacancies for Senior Teacher II (Regular) and 188 for Senior Teacher II (SNE) under T-Scale 7 in the 2025/2026 promotion cycle.

Applicants must have served as Primary Teacher I (T-Scale 6) for at least three years and must have consistently demonstrated good performance in their appraisals. Leadership ability, mentorship, and the capacity to provide professional support to colleagues are essential requirements.

The senior teacher position plays a pivotal role in bridging classroom teaching and school management. Senior teachers are often tasked with mentoring junior colleagues, overseeing subject departments, and coordinating learning activities. By elevating more teachers into this rank, TSC hopes to strengthen instructional leadership at the school level.

Applications are strictly online via the TSC portal before 25th August 2025 at midnight. No manual applications will be considered. In addition, successful candidates will be required to present Chapter Six compliance documents before appointment.

Importantly, TSC has prioritized inclusivity by reserving nearly 200 slots for teachers in Special Needs Education schools. This ensures that learners with disabilities are supported by teachers who understand their unique challenges and can offer tailored leadership.

The sheer volume of vacancies reflects TSC’s recognition of the need to expand leadership opportunities at the primary school level. With thousands of teachers eligible for promotion, this advertisement presents a lifeline for career progression while ensuring effective management in schools.

For teachers who have long awaited promotions, the Senior Teacher II vacancies offer a timely chance to advance. For the education system, they represent an opportunity to strengthen learning outcomes, teacher support, and discipline in classrooms across the country.
