To ensure an efficient and transparent teacher recruitment process, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) requires County Directors to submit a comprehensive set of documents to the TSC Headquarters.
These documents validate the recruitment process, verify applicants’ credentials, and facilitate the seamless onboarding of successful candidates. Below is a detailed breakdown of the required documentation.
1. Offer of Employment and Supporting Documents
Each County Director must submit the duly signed file copy of the Offer of Employment letter for every successful applicant. This must include certified copies of the following:
•National Identification Card: A mandatory document for identity verification.
•Certificate of Registration as a Teacher: Proof of the applicant’s registration with the TSC.
•Academic and Professional Certificates: Includes all official transcripts to verify qualifications.
•Letter of Certification of Results by KNEC (if applicable): Validates examination results.
•National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) Card (if applicable): Confirms disability status for applicants seeking special consideration.
•Affidavit for Name Variance: Required under the Oaths and Statutory Declarations Act, Cap. 15, to explain any discrepancies in names.
•Bank Plate or Card (front face): For salary processing.
•KRA PIN Certificate: For tax compliance verification.
•NHIF Card: For health insurance enrollment.
2. Additional Applicant Documents
•Two passport-size color photographs of each successful applicant.
•Original medical examination report (Form GP 69), certifying the applicant’s fitness to work.
3. Recruitment Process Records
To uphold transparency, the following recruitment records must be submitted:
•A list of all interviewed applicants in order of merit (Appendix III a).
•A system-generated list of applicants who failed to attend the interview (Appendix III b).
•A list of applicants with disabilities (Appendix VI).
•Duly signed minutes of the Sub-County Selection Panel, documenting the recruitment proceedings.
•The completed selection score guide, signed by the panel.
•A duly completed pay point particulars form for salary processing.
By adhering to these submission guidelines, the TSC ensures a seamless recruitment process that upholds professionalism, transparency, and inclusivity. These requirements also enhance the integrity of the recruitment system, ultimately supporting the delivery of quality education in Kenya.
